Transportation Services – Summer 2026
Village Public Health is seeking proposals from qualified transportation providers, community organizations, churches, ministries, or licensed drivers with access to a 15-passenger van to support transportation needs for the 2026 Village Public Health Summer Institute and related youth programming.

About the Program
The Village Public Health Summer Institute is a four-week youth leadership and wellness experience serving high school students across Central Arkansas. Students will participate in youth mental health programming, service-learning experiences, college and career exposure, public health education, community engagement activities, and field trips. Transportation is essential to ensuring equitable access for students traveling from Little Rock, Pine Bluff, Jacksonville, and surrounding communities.
Scope of Services
- Daily student transportation (Monday through Thursday).
- Local field trips and community engagement activities.
- Out-of-state travel to Mississippi (June 11–13, 2026).
- Additional program transportation needs as assigned.
Daily Transportation Expectations
- Morning carpool runs: approximately 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
- Afternoon return runs: approximately 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
- Routes may include Little Rock, Jacksonville, Pine Bluff, and other cities within approximately one hour of Little Rock.
Additional Responsibilities
- Community service projects.
- Guest speaker events.
- Wellness in the Park activities.
- Youth leadership trips.
- Emergency transportation adjustments if needed.
Vehicle Requirements
- Access to a safe and reliable 15-passenger van.
- Current vehicle registration and insurance.
- Clean, operational, and compliant with applicable safety standards.
Driver Requirements
- Valid driver's license.
- Clean driving record.
- Successful background check.
- Mandated reporter requirements completed.
- Professionalism, reliability, and comfort in youth-centered environments.
