The W.E.L.L. Squad is Village Public Health's student-led public health club. Ambassadors launch a squad at their school to promote wellness, lead peer education, earn LEARNS Act service hours, and build real-world public health skills — all while earning their PRISM credential.

A W.E.L.L. Squad is a school-based public health club where student ambassadors lead wellness initiatives, deliver peer health education, and earn service learning hours.
How to Start a W.E.L.L. Squad
Apply as a Public Health Ambassador
Submit your application through Village Public Health. Open to Arkansas youth ages 14–24 who are passionate about health, leadership, and community service.
Complete PRISM Onboarding
Begin your PRISM credential journey with core CHW competency training — covering health equity, motivational interviewing, ethics, and the C3 framework.
Launch Your W.E.L.L. Squad
Register your club with your school, recruit members, and host your first meeting. VPH provides a launch kit with templates, curriculum, and branding materials.
Deliver Peer Education & Service
Run wellness events, Vibe Checks, health fairs, and peer education sessions. Log your service hours toward LEARNS Act requirements and your PRISM credential.
Earn Your PRISM Credential
Complete all required hours (30 education + minimum 25 service), pass competency assessments, submit your community health project, and become a PRISM Certified Youth CHW. Extra service hours earn bonus XP!

Resource Drives
Collecting and distributing wellness kits, hygiene products, and health info
Advocacy Campaigns
Student-led campaigns on health equity, prevention, and policy change
Squad Roles
Squad Captain
Leads meetings, coordinates with school administration, and represents the squad at community events.
Wellness Coordinator
Plans wellness activities, Vibe Checks, and health education events for the school community.
Outreach Lead
Manages social media, recruits new members, and connects with community partners.
Data Champion
Tracks service hours, surveys impact, and reports outcomes to VPH Training Center.
Peer Educator
Delivers peer-to-peer health education sessions and facilitates group discussions.
